I spent my fall break in Sedona, Arizona, with my roommates, and honestly, I get why people say it’s a “must-see” place. The second you get into town, the red rocks just take over the whole view. They really look unreal, like someone turned the saturation up in real life.

Most of the trip was just driving around, hiking, and exploring, which was perfect for me. I really enjoy being in nature because it helps me feel calm, so spending time on the trails was exactly what I needed. One of the highlights was hiking to Devil’s Bridge. The view from the top was incredible, and it honestly felt like something out of a movie. If you ever visit Sedona, I definitely recommend going there.

We also did another hike that led us into a cave, and when we reached the top, we could see the entire landscape below us. It was such an amazing experience. The red rocks, the quiet, and the fresh air all came together to make the trip feel special. It reminded me how nice it is to step away from everything sometimes and just enjoy being outside.

We ate some really good food while we were there, too. One night, we went to this restaurant that had the perfect view of the red rocks, and everything tasted even better because we were all so hungry after hiking. Another night we decided to stay in and have a barbecue at home. It was simple,e but actually one of my favorite parts of the trip.

By the time the weekend was over, I honestly didn’t want to leave. It felt so nice to be away from everything for a little bit and just enjoy being outdoors. Even though it was a quick trip, it actually helped me reset. The drive back made me realize how much I needed a change of scenery.

  1. Hi Ela! I really enjoyed reading your post especially because I've always wanted to visit Arizona, but am always so scared of dying from the heat (I am really bad at staying in hot weather). So your post made me feel as if I was there as well. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you, and I can't wait to read your next blog!
